Tisiphone: Angel of Vengance

Here she is folks!!

FINALLY decided what Regin is when she transforms and she's been through MANY incarnations to get here.

I think she started off as a werewolf when i first dreamed her up (literally), then a werecat because that didn't fit right, then a darkling, then a sun-monster with a star for a heart and then, finally into this kick as Fury from Greek legend.

The furies, or Erinyes as they were originally known, were the servants of Hades, Greek God of Death. They patrolled the lowest levels of Tarterus where all the REALLY nasty fuckers go. The original description has the Erinyes described as women with the faces of dogs, snakes for hair, wings and the ability to drive evil men mad with their whispering voices.

Of course, i've taken a little bit of an artistic license here because she's a hybrid between human and Fury. Her face is marked with dark patches that give her the appearance of a skull, she has the ears of a dog, snake tails in her hair (which took for-freaking-EVER, by the way), a spined tail and huge wings that are inspired by the scaled featherings of Saphira's wings from the film Eragon.

I dunno how big she is yet, but Regin, in her human form, is six foot three in her bare feet, and Tisiphone is a lot bigger than Regin.

She needs more markings on her body. I'm not sure of what yet, but i was thinking like some kind of scrolling language that marks out the Ten Commandments on her skin or something because she IS the original arbiter of Justice...at least in my legend.
